Senthil Nathan brings over 23 years of distinguished service within the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, including senior roles at the Central Board of Customs and Excise across assessment, audit, investigation, and policy functions. His tenure spans the Special Intelligence and Investigation Branch (SIIB) and the Central Intelligence Unit (CIU), where he led significant enforcement and compliance programmes.
He contributed directly to the formulation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and has represented the Government as Counsel before CESTAT, the High Courts, and the Supreme Court on matters of customs, excise, and DGFT/EXIM policy. For foreign companies bringing technology hardware into India — sensors, edge devices, connected infrastructure — his knowledge of customs, import compliance, and EXIM regulation is operational, not theoretical.
