Who we are

Inti bridges the gap between foreign technology and Indian ground reality.

We work with US and European AI and IoT companies that have the technology but need a trusted local partner to execute — navigating customs, regulatory compliance, procurement, and on-the-ground operations across India.

Our team combines deep government and regulatory experience with hands-on implementation capability. We understand how India's regulatory machinery works from the inside — and we use that to remove the friction that stalls foreign technology deployments.

What we do

Five practices, each addressing a real barrier to execution in India.

Foreign AI and IoT companies face a predictable set of problems when they try to operate in India. Our practice areas are built around those problems — not around our organisational structure.

01

Local Execution Support

We provide the boots-on-the-ground capability that foreign companies lack when deploying AI and IoT systems in India. This includes vendor identification and management, site coordination, installation oversight, and ongoing operational support — the implementation layer that strategy consultants don't touch.

02

Tender Compliance & Bid Strategy

Navigating India's public procurement landscape requires more than reading the tender document. We advise on eligibility structuring, local-content requirements, bid documentation, and compliance positioning — giving foreign companies a realistic path to winning and executing government contracts.

03

Stakeholder Coordination & Facilitation

Successful execution in India depends on managing a complex web of local stakeholders — government departments, utilities, contractors, and community representatives. We handle ground-level coordination and facilitation so that foreign clients can focus on technology delivery.

04

IoT Platform & Infrastructure Advisory

From sensor procurement and customs clearance through to network installation, dashboard integration, and automation support — we advise on the complete IoT deployment stack in the Indian context. We understand both the hardware import compliance layer and the last-mile operational reality.

05

Localisation & Long-Term O&M Enablement

Sustaining an AI or IoT deployment in India requires local capability — trained personnel, regional support structures, and operational frameworks that hold up without constant foreign oversight. We build that capability alongside the initial deployment, enabling clients to transition to sustainable local operations.

/ Approach (03)
How we work

Engagements follow a deliberate four-phase sequence.

Phase 01

Listen

We engage in detailed discussions with the board, the programme owner, the in-house team, and where relevant the regulator.

Phase 02

Diagnose

We separate the strategic question from the operational one, and both from the regulatory one.

Phase 03

Design

We build the path forward from strategy, documentation, decision-making, and risk-mitigation.

Phase 04

Deliver

We drive the implementation process by drawing in the right specialists from our network, staying close to the programme, and remaining engaged until the question is closed.

Senthil Nathan brings over 23 years of distinguished service within the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, including senior roles at the Central Board of Customs and Excise across assessment, audit, investigation, and policy functions. His tenure spans the Special Intelligence and Investigation Branch (SIIB) and the Central Intelligence Unit (CIU), where he led significant enforcement and compliance programmes.

He contributed directly to the formulation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and has represented the Government as Counsel before CESTAT, the High Courts, and the Supreme Court on matters of customs, excise, and DGFT/EXIM policy. Before you reach out

A few things worth knowing.

Specific questions are answered via the channels in the contact section below.

Primarily US and European companies that are deploying AI or IoT technology in India — either through government contracts, infrastructure programmes, or private-sector partnerships. We are most useful when the technology is ready but the local execution layer is missing: navigating procurement, customs, regulation, and stakeholder relationships on the ground.

Most market-entry advisors stop at strategy. We go deeper into implementation — vendor procurement, customs compliance, site coordination, stakeholder management. Our Managing Director spent 23 years inside India's customs and revenue machinery; that is not background knowledge, it is operational knowledge of exactly the systems your hardware has to pass through.

Yes. Customs classification, import duty structuring, EXIM compliance, and coordination with the relevant authorities — this is among our strongest capabilities. We advise on the compliance side; physical clearance is handled through the appropriate licensed channels we work with.

Every engagement begins with a scoping conversation, followed by a written proposal. Fees are structured by mandate — retainer, milestone, or outcome-linked — depending on the nature and duration of the work. We do not bill by the hour.

Strictly. Engagement details, advisory strategy, and client identities are protected by confidentiality obligations. We do not reference engagements publicly without explicit written consent. References are available to qualified prospective clients on request.

Inti is headquartered in Chennai. We operate across India, with particular depth in Tamil Nadu and other southern states — and through our network, across major Indian metros and infrastructure corridors. We work with US and European clients remotely with regular in-country presence as engagements require.

Within two business days. If your situation is time-sensitive, indicate that in the subject line and we will prioritise accordingly.
